In our fast pace society where stress is at every corner, it is so easy and common to feel disconnected, lost, confuse or overwhelmed. Life is demanding. We constantly have to perform, produce, compete and jungle multiple tasks at once. When we finally slow down and take a break, we go for a week end or a few weeks. While this is nice and relaxing sometimes, our body, mind and soul need more.

Wellness retreats are often associated with spa, health, massage and personal pampering.
In fact they come in all shape and style and are available for all budgets.

Wellness seems to come in three different forms: Body Mind and Spirit. Often wellness is a holistic approach to time out to take care of your whole being. No matter what you focus on. For example:

Chris Poellein has been studying metaphysical concepts and meditation for over 20 years. Her experience and training as a world cup skier gave her extensive knowledge on the connection of mind, spirit and body and the power of visualization. Today she runs workshops around Reiki and healing energy at her Pender Island Wellness Retreat on the West Coast of Canada.
